Exclusive: ELLEFSON Vs. MUSTAINE Complaint Available For Download
July 15, 2004BLABBERMOUTH.NET has obtained a copy of the 38-page complaint filed by former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson against the group's leader, David Mustaine, alleging the singer shortchanged him on profits and backed out of a deal to turn Megadeth Inc. over to him when the band broke up in 2002. Ellefson also accuses Mustaine of locking him out of merchandise and publishing royalties. Ellefson is seeking $18.5 million from Mustaine, including $10 million in punitive damages stemming from Mustaine's "libelous statements" on MEGADETH's web site "falsely accusing" Ellefson of trying to "extort" Mustaine in order to appear on the new MEGADETH record.
